Unfortunately we were the only people staying due to it being the end of the season and they were closing within a couple of days. This meant we didn't get to experience the tents as these had already been packed up and with three of us in the small hut it was a little cramped. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we spent a few hours just chatting with them over the afternoon prior to our sunset camel ride. The hut just about fitted 2 beds, a small a/c unit and a shower room. The main bed was very comfortable as were the duvets. We were taken to another camp for the evening with an hour of cultural dancing and music which was nice followed by dinner at 9pm which was not that great and was so late we were starving. They had flat bed seats with a low table so eating off your lap. The breakfast again was poor we had one small Indian rice dish, a banana (unfortunately rotten) and some very dry bread with jam/butter. The juice and tea/coffee were nice. Probably better to only visit in the busy season where it seems they have a full buffet and on site entertainment.

Exotica and glamping in the desert, recommended for intrepid explorers!

We stayed at this desert camp during a motorcycle tour of Rajasthan in February 2024. For adventure seekers, this glamping hotel cum high-end camp is a beauty! After a hard day riding through the desert area, arriving at the camp and being shown to our glamping tent in the shadow of a towering sand dune was very striking! A trek up to the top of the dunes to watch the sunset made us feel like truly intrepid explorers, a bit like James Tod in his early 19th-century Rajasthani expeditions! The camp can also arrange camel rides and jeep tours through the dunes. Our tent-room and all of facilities within the camp were comfortable and very clean. All of the staff were welcoming, professional and efficient, and the food served from the dining room delicious. The evening entertainment provided by a marvellous group of musicians and the local Kalbelia dancers was unbelievably exotic and fascinating. Even though there were less than 10 guests staying and so a very small audience (being low season), the show went on for around 2 hours! Brilliant! If you’re heading out towards the Thar Desert from Jaisalmer, and looking for a fabulous desert camp experience, we thoroughly recommend this camp.

Had a wonderful experience visiting the camp and was able to sleep on the sand dunes under the stars. An amazing experience that included a fantastic buffet dinner/breakfast, cultural dancing and sunset camel ride. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful desert camp away from the crowds

This is a beautiful desert camp away from the crowded Sam camps. Featuring about twenty tents the camp is built at the bottom of its own sand dune. You can just leave by a back gate and climb the dune at night or early in the morning. They arrange jeep and camel rides to a larger sand dune. The Swiss tents are luxurious with very comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. The breakfast and dinner were delicious (albeit vegetarian only). We stayed only one night but wished we could have spent more time at the camp and in the surrounding quiet of the desert. Khuri is a better choice than Sam simply because it is more serene. You don't get a multitude of camps right next to each other creating light pollution throughout the night. And no crowds either. The evening entertainment consisted of Rajasthani folk songs and dances. The camp was a great experience not to be missed whilst in Jaisalmer. We booked with Fifu Desert Safaris and were driven in our own private jeep by Mr Sodha who is an excellent driver and guide. He made our trip so much more memorable. We were so glad with our choice of camp.

This was a one off experience, beautifully decorated tents in the middle of nowhere. Our package included cultural show with high tea, dinner, camel ride and breakfast. We enjoyed every bit of our stay at the camp site. The day was hot and rooms have AC facility. The night are super cold. Hence make sure you are nicely wrapped up. We enjoyed the local music and dance. Food was excellent and considering it was a desert camp the local delicacies were delicious.
